Portland Timbers have announced a new multi-year shirt sponsor ahead of the 2024 MLS season.

Out with the old, and in with the new. Alaska Airlines will no longer be on the front of the dark green Timbers jerseys, as home improvement company DaBella takes their place. What makes this new partnership special, though, is that DaBella is a local business based out of Portland, Oregon.

"DaBella is a values-focused home improvement company, founded in Portland, Oregon," a club statement read. "A leader in the roofing, siding, window, and bath renovation space, DaBella helps families improve their homes and build value in their property."

Portland's partnership with Alaska Airlines ran for just over a decade from 2011 to 2023, with the Timbers since their first season in MLS. But the Western Conference team will now hope to usher in a new era with new a new jersey sponsor as well as a new head coach in Phil Neville.

"We are thrilled to partner with one of the fastest growing home improvement companies in the nation and look forward to seeing DaBella on our kits beginning in 2024," Timbers chief executive officer Heather Davis said in a release.

"A company with roots in my hometown of Hillsboro, DaBella is uniquely positioned to use their resources to partner with us to make a positive impact in our community."

DaBella chief executive officer Donnie McMillan Jr said: "It is a dream come true to partner with the Portland Timbers and give back to the community that helped us start this journey. Portland is our home. Our alignment with the Timbers, an organization that shares our core values, will allow us to cultivate a positive impact to the local communities in which we serve."

The Timbers missed the 2023 MLS Cup playoffs and parted ways with head coach Gio Savarese in August, and they will look to transition back to qualifying for the playoffs regularly for the first time since 2021 when the new season kicks off next spring.
