Philadelphia Union are set to take on New England Revolution in the first round of MLS Cup playoffs on October 28 at Subaru Park.

Like the clash happening on the West coast between LAFC and Vancouver Whitecaps, the two sides last met on Decision Day -- one week from the time of kick-off -- with the Revs prevailing 2-1.

The two Northeastern clubs have a storied rivalry and will do battle for the 41st time but with much higher stakes at play. Given how the Union like to set up shop at home, this could be a defensive slugfest on Saturday afternoon in game one.

Philadelphia Union vs New England Revolution score prediction

We more than likely won't see a high-scoring contest due to Philadelphia head coach Jim Curtin liking a more defensive brand of soccer. But both teams still have top-notch quality up front and will be eager to grab the first goal to take pressure off themselves.

It will be a close one but the Revs will have just enough to snatch game one away from the Union.

Prediction: Philadelphia Union 1-2 New England Revolution
