Harry McKirdy enjoyed a sensational January with Swindon Town, even netting against Premier League champions Manchester City in the FA Cup third round.

But his cup heroics are nothing compared to the form he showed in League Two, particularly in an outstanding four-goal display against Northampton Town.

McKirdy's goals helped Swindon to a 5-2 win on that night, and he also grabbed goals during the month against Mansfield and Colchester. Port Vale, meanwhile, were on the end of an assist during another Robins win.

2. Dominic Telford (Newport County)

Newport County's Dominic Telford has one of the best goals-to-game ratios in Europe this season and he maintained his blistering hot streak in January.

Now on 20 goals in 20 League Two games at the time of writing, Telford helped himself to braces against Walsall, Harrogate and Barrow, keeping his side very much in the play-off mix.

FGR's standout performance of the month came against promotion rivals Tranmere though, with Stevens netting again in a thumping 4-0 win on Merseyside.
