90min is the home of the PFA Vertu Motors Fans’ Player of the Month Award for the 2022/23 season.

Each month, you can vote for your favourite players across five divisions of English football, for the chance to win incredible prizes, including the opportunity to present the award to the winning player.

Your League One nominees for January are...

1. Dion Charles (Bolton Wanderers)

A superb month for Northern Ireland international Dion Charles contributing in five games.

He began the month with a goal in the 3-0 success at Barnsley and then bagged in the win over Portsmouth.

He then claimed an assist in the loss at Derby before scoring in the wins of Forest Green and Charlton.

2. Alfie May (Cheltenham Town)

Cheltenham star Alfie May began 2023 with a return to form with four goals for the Robins.

May grabbed his first goal of the new year on New Year's Day with a goal at Bristol Rovers and followed that up with a strike against Morecambe.

Further goals followed against Derby and Plymouth taking him to nine for the season.

3. Conor Hourihane (Derby County)

Conor Hourihane is really showing his class for Derby and that showed in January with three goals in three different games.

The Irishman's opening goal of 2023 arrived in the convincing 4-0 win over Accrington.

He followed that up with strikes in the victories of Cheltenham and Bolton.

4. Kieran Phillips (Morecambe)

A brilliant start to 2023 for the on-loan Huddersfield striker Kieran Phillips as he inspired Morecambe to back-to-back wins.

He grabbed a brace and an assist in the 5-0 win over Burton before a goal and another assist in the 2-1 victory over Cheltenham.

Injury, though, cut short his month and his loan spell.

5. Josh Windass (Sheffield Wednesday)

A big month for Josh Windass with five goals, three of which came in the Championship where he also claimed an assist.

Windass began the month in superb fashion with a hat-trick in the 5-0 win over Cambridge.

After helping Wednesday overcome Newcastle in the FA Cup, he bagged a crucial assist in the 1-0 win over Fleetwood.

6. Luke Leahy (Shrewsbury Town)

The Shrews finished January with four straight wins and Luke Leahy played his part with three goals and two assists.

The experienced midfielder scored his first goal of the year in the 4-0 win over Burton.

He then played a starring role in the 5-1 win over Cambridge in which he scored twice and had two assists.
