PFA Vertu Motors Premier League Fans' Player of the Month - September nominees
90min is the home of the PFA Vertu Motors Fans’ Player of the Month Award for the 2021/22 & 2022/23 seasons.
Each month, you can vote for your favourite players across five divisions of English football, for the chance to win incredible prizes, including the opportunity to present the award to the winning player.
Your Premier League nominees for September are...
1. Ivan Toney (Brentford)
Appearances: 3
Goals: 1
Assists: 2
The Premier League now knows what Ivan Toney is all about - if it didn't already.
Brentford's talisman played his part in destroying Wolves' defence in a comprehensive victory at Molineux, while he also gave Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip plenty to lot think about as the Bees earned a deserved 3-3 draw with Liverpool.
2. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
Appearances: 3
Goals: 3
Assists: 0
Is Mohamed Salah ever going to stop scoring for Liverpool? Judging by his three September outings, not any time soon.
Salah notched his 100th Premier League goal for the Reds during the month, becoming the fourth fastest player to reach that milestone. Only Alan Shearer for Blackburn (124 games), Harry Kane for Tottenham (138) and Sergio Aguero for Manchester City (147) have scored a ton for a single club faster than his 151 Liverpool games.
3. Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United)
Appearances: 3
Goals: 3
Assists: 0
Ronaldo returned home to Manchester United after 12 years away and picked up where he left off, scoring twice on his second debut against Newcastle and in the dramatic win at West Ham a week later.
United have needed a goalscorer for some time and Ronaldo has provided immediately.
4. Ismaila Sarr (Watford)
Appearances: 3
Goals: 3
Assists: 0
It was also a prolific month in front of goal for Watford winger Ismaila Sarr.
The standout player in the Hornets' side, Sarr bagged a match winning brace away at Norwich before netting the equaliser against Newcastle to earn a point at Vicarage Road.
5. Michail Antonio (West Ham)
Appearances: 2
Goals: 1
Assists: 0
Michail Antonio was the Premier League's standout player in August, and he was determined to carry that momentum in September.
West Ham's main man got a little carried away at Southampton, getting himself sent off to rule him out of the home game against Manchester United the following week.
His absence was felt as the Hammers lost that game, and Antonio showed how good he can be upon his return - scoring a sensational goal on the counter attack to clinch a dramatic late win at Leeds.
6. Antonio Rudiger (Chelsea)
Appearances: 3
Clean Sheets: 2
Goals: 1
Previously cast to one side at Chelsea, Antonio Rudiger's resurgence since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel as head coach has been incredibly impressive.
An uncompromising presence who typifies what the Blues' defence is all about, Rudiger put in commanding displays against Aston Villa and Tottenham - even scoring against the latter in a comprehensive 3-0 win for Chelsea.
