The former Huddersfield and Charlton striker enjoyed a good September and he repeated the feat in October.

Grant bagged three goals for West Brom to continue their push for automatic promotion, including the crucial winner against local rivals Birmingham City.

2. Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham)

What more can be said about Aleksandar Mitrovic?

The winner of the award in September, he is going to be very hard to overlook this time around, too.

Finished the month scoring in four successive games, yet the Serb didn't just go at a goal per game rate - he bagged eight, including a hat-trick against Championship title rivals West Brom. 12 goals in his last seven outings says it all.

3. Gary Cahill (Bournemouth)

Clean sheets: 4

The former England defender only joined Bournemouth last month, but he has made a huge impact on Scott Parker’s side.

In ten games, the Cherries have conceded just three goals and just one of those was shipped in October. Throw in an assist in the win over Reading, and it really has been an outstanding month for Cahill.

4. Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth)

Bournemouth’s surge to the top of the table was in no small part down to Dominic Solanke’s brilliant run of form.

The Cherries won every game in October and Solanke scored in four of their five games, including a brace against Huddersfield.

5. Jerry Yates (Blackpool)

Jerry Yates did not score in September, but he made up for it in October as he helped Blackpool win four games out of five.

A scorer of four goals across the month, Yates also grabbed an assist in the derby win over Preston - helping the Tangerines maintain their unlikely push towards the play-offs.

6. Jamie Paterson (Swansea)

The former Bristol City midfielder enjoyed an outstanding October for his new club.

Patterson became an instant hero for the Swansea faithful as he masterminded their win over bitter rivals Cardiff - scoring one goal and creating another two in a comprehensive 3-0 win. Followed that up with a goal and assist in the win over West Brom.
