Wrexham began 2024 with the announcement that striker Paul Mullin and midfielder Elliot Lee have both signed new contracts.

Mullin joined Wrexham in 2021, with Lee arriving the following summer. Both have played huge roles in the Red Dragons' rise to League Two, where they currently find themselves in the promotion race.

As rewards for both players' excellent form, Wrexham have confirmed both Mullin and Lee have signed on to stay at the Racecourse until 2027.

"I’m unbelievably happy and grateful to extend my stay at Wrexham. Since signing for the club, I’ve loved every single second," Mullin said. "It’s not just become my club, but my whole family also.

"The chance to perform in front of the support we receive is something you long for as a child. Here’s to creating more memories to last a lifetime – up the town!"

Lee, the son of former Newcastle and England midfielder Rob Lee, added: "It means a lot. When I signed 18 months ago, there were high expectations but not I even saw just how well it was going to go. I’m delighted to be extending my stay with Wrexham.

"It’s a special feeling playing for the club. Growing up, it was Newcastle and West Ham I had an affinity too and wanted to play for, but I feel I have that now with Wrexham.

"To represent the team, the badge and the people of Wrexham is a special feeling – I love playing playing for the club."

On the new deals, manager Phil Parkison concluded: "We’re delighted we’ve agreed deals with Paul and Elliot. They are two really key players for the club moving forward.

"There's always a lot of talk going into a transfer window, but the most important thing is to keep hold of your best players – they are two very important signings for us, and we’re very pleased to have agreed deals with them."

Wrexham are third in League Two, level on points with second place Mansfield Town and five behind overall leaders Stockport County. Barrow are one point behind in fourth. The top three come May will earn automatic promotion into League One, with an additional place also up for grabs via the playoffs.
