Former CF Montreal player Patrice Bernier has been inducted into the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame in the Class of 2022. 

Bernier has been honoured alongside former Canada women’s national team greats Rhian Wilkinson and ​​Martina Franko.

The former midfielder had two stints with CF Montreal, when they were known as the Impact. He recorded 15 goals and 25 assists in 151 regular-season appearances in Major League Soccer. 

During his run with the MLS side, he lifted two Canadian Championships and formed part of the 2015 squad that was runner up in the Concacaf Champions League. 

Beyond MLS, Bernier also featured extensively overseas for the likes of Tromsø IL, 1. FC Kaiserslautern, ​​FC Nordsjælland and more.

Internationally, he featured for Les Rouges on 56 occasions, serving as captain three times and competing in three World Cup qualifying cycles as well as four Gold Cups. 

After retiring, Bernier served as an assistant coach for Montréal and worked in their academy.
