Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provides injury updates on Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw, Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hopeful of welcoming four players back from injury when the Red Devils face Burnley on Tuesday.

Heading into the game, there have been doubts over the fitness of Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw and Victor Lindelof, all of whom missed the FA Cup game against Watford through injury, while Eric Bailly was brought off during that game after suffering a head injury.

However, Solskjaer revealed that he hopes to have a full squad to choose from against Burnley, with suspended striker Edinson Cavani also back in contention.

"Yeah, all of them trained today,” Solskjaer said (via the club's official website) .“Paul and Eric didn’t do all of it, but Luke and Victor did all of it. I’ve got a decent amount of players to pick from. Let’s see with Paul and Eric and how they are tomorrow.

“Edinson has trained well since he’s been banned. He’s had a couple of days off as well - you can’t train too much. He’s ready to go. He’s a different option. He’s a different type of striker to Mason [Greenwood], Anthony [Martial] and Marcus [Rashford]. I’m glad to have him back and that’s why we brought him in.

“He’s contributed really well so far. I’m sure he’ll be really important for us between now and the end of the season. The end of the season starts tomorrow night.“

One player who is definitely set to feature against Burnley is centre-back Harry Maguire. The defender is one yellow card away from a one-game suspension and would miss the upcoming game against Liverpool if he is booked at Turf Moor, but Solskjaer insisted he was prepared to take the risk.

"Harry is playing, definitely, that’s for sure, if he doesn't wake up ill." Solskjaer added (via Manchester Evening News). "You cannot only take three points and not put your eyes on games beyond this one.

"You don’t adjust your expectations because I have high expectations of these players. I expect them to go into every single game with a mental readiness to work hard for your team to win it and the results will come. As long as I can see that progress in that mentality and that we are ready for every game.

"If we go into every game with the right mentality and you don’t get results...I’m not saying that’s okay for them to have no excuses, because you can’t control results, and I feel that the group’s mentality is getting better.

"So of course that is the big thing for me: that we go into games with the right frame of mind. Sometimes results don’t go as expected but I am very happy with where we are mentally at the moment."
