Ole Gunnar Solskjaer delighted with 'statement' victory over Liverpool
By Tom Gott

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could hardly hide his delight at his side's 3-2 victory over Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday evening.
United fell behind to a Mohamed Salah goal but soon roared back through Mason Greenwood. Marcus Rashford put the Red Devils ahead after the break, but after another Salah strike, it was Bruno Fernandes who stepped up to seal the victory with an excellent free kick.

The game saw United show far more attacking intent than in the 0-0 draw between these two sides just one week earlier, and Solskjaer confessed it was a real joy to see his side put Liverpool to the sword with such flair.
"It's fantastic to win games against last year's champions - they are a fantastic team and we have had good results over the past couple of years playing different systems but today we played well and won on our terms," Solskjaer said (via Sky Sports News).
"We have found a way that we and the players believe in and we are getting stronger and stronger. Our mentality to come back from 1-0 down. We have shown it so many times this season. Physically we have got stronger and stronger and lasted to the end of games a lot more.

"We look at the difference of a year ago and six months back... you can't take too many big strides at any one point, but layer by layer we're getting better and better, winning tight games. The morale and confidence of course is very good.
"For us it's a good feeling to play on our terms. We have had some good results over the last few years, playing with the diamond or with a 3-5-2... different systems to nullify opponents but to win today with a positive selection and in the way we see our team, that's a statement to ourselves. That's the confidence boost that we can match the best with our style of football."
It wasn't all positive for United, however, as goalscorer Rashford was forced off in the dying embers of the game with what appeared to be a knee injury. He was replaced by Anthony Martial and headed straight down the tunnel.
"Let's hope so," Solskjaer told BBC Sport when asked if Rashford's issue was only minor. "His knee was bothering him, so a scan tomorrow and we'll see where we are."
United's reward for this victory is a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup, where they will welcome David Moyes' West Ham United to Old Trafford.
