Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of Swiss international Remo Freuler from Atalanta for an undisclosed fee.
The 30-year-old signs for the club after Forest got their first Premier League win in over 20 years on Sunday, beating West Ham United 1-0 thanks to a goal from Taiwo Awoniyi.
"The club's official statement on the signing reads: "Nottingham Forest is delighted to announce the signing of Remo Freuler from Italian Serie A side Atalanta.
"A Switzerland international, the 30-year-old has earned 46 caps for his country, having made his international debut in 2017 and has also appeared at the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals and UEFA Euro 2020.
"Freuler brings with him a wealth of experience having made 202 appearances in Italy's top flight for Atalanta after arriving from Luzern in his home country in January, 2016.
"He also helped Atalanta to qualify for UEFA European competition through league placing for five consecutive seasons, including three in the UEFA Champions League where he made 21 appearances in total and reached the Quarter Final stage in 2019/20.

Freuler is Forest's 15th signing of the summer so far as the club have gone all out to strengthen in order to stay in the Premier League.
