Norwich's tricky return to the top flight continues on matchday two as they head to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City.

The Canaries were thumped 3-0 by Liverpool last time out and Daniel Farke will know that anything other than a perfect performance could see his side fall to a similar defeat against the reigning Premier League champions.

Here's how Farke could set up his team in Manchester.

Norwich predicted lineup vs Man City - Premier League

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Tim Krul (GK) - Former City man Angus Gunn is waiting in the wings, but Krul deserves more time to prove he should retain his spot.

Max Aarons (RB) - Unsurprisingly, Aarons impressed against Liverpool and again proved he's top flight material.

Grant Hanley (CB) - Hanley's lack of pre-season was clear to see last weekend, but with Christoph Zimmermann out through illness, the captain is a dead cert.

Ben Gibson (CB) - Young Andrew Omobamidele is back and looking to reclaim his spot in the squad after a bout of tonsillitis, but that doesn't mean Gibson is ready to be ousted just yet.

Dimitrios Giannoulis (LB) - Giannoulis was the star of the show against Liverpool and could thrive again at the Etihad.

2. Midfielders

Billy Gilmour (DM) - Gilmour impressed against City at the back end of last season and can draw upon that experience for another huge game.

Pierre Lees-Melou (CM) - Norwich may have lost on the opening day but the performance of Lees-Melou was a real positive. A Premier League regular in the making.

Lukas Rupp (CM) - Rupp divided fans against Liverpool, with many unsure whether he was actually any good. Here's his chance to set the record straight.

3. Forwards

Todd Cantwell

Todd Cantwell (RW) - Linked with a move to Aston Villa this summer, it's clear Cantwell has got all the tools to be a star in the Premier League. Whether that's at Norwich or somewhere else remains to be seen.

Teemu Pukki (ST) - It was a dominant showing against City in September 2019 that kickstarted a wave of Pukki-mania; the Finnish striker is no doubt hoping for more of the same.

Milot Rashica (LW) -
Christos Tzolis is knocking on the door for a first team spot but Farke is unlikely to give up on Rashica after a single outing. Has played in plenty of big games in the Bundesliga and experience is key against a top side.
