Leeds eased their worries in the bottom half of the Premier League table and increased the pressure on Norwich with a 2-1 victory at Carrow Road, handed to them by Raphinha and Rodrigo.

Neither side could seize the initiative during a first half low on quality, while the tense atmosphere at the ground was clear to see.

The game sparked into life during four second-half minutes, with Raphinha cutting in from the right to fire United ahead before Andrew Omobamidele headed in from a corner. The Whites went ahead again when Rodrigo's effort from distance beat Tim Krul who should have done better.

Leeds are 17th thanks to their second league win of the campaign and their first away from home, while Norwich remain rooted to the bottom of the table and without a victory.

Here are the player ratings from Carrow Road - and please, don't take the Leeds positions too literally, the lads were everywhere and anywhere.

Norwich player ratings

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Tim Krul (GK) - 5/10 - Had to do better with Rodrigo's effort, which snuck under his body when he had made up the ground to get there.

Andrew Omobamidele (CB) - 7/10 - Scored his first senior goal with a lovely flicked header from Rashica's corner. Pretty solid and can be happy with his efforts.

Grant Hanley (CB) - 6/10 - Great clearance on the line to stop James opening the scoring. Looked a little leggy at other points.

Ozan Kabak (CB) - 5/10 - Lost the ball in front of his own box while attempting a silly turn and Leeds went on to score through Rodrigo.

2. Midfielders & wing backs

Max Aarons (RWB) - 6/10 - Was accurate with his passing. Fairly steady throughout the game.

Mathias Normann (CM) - 7/10 - Fizzed a shot just wide of the post. Clattered a fair bit but also won plenty of those duels throughout. Probably Norwich's best player.

Kenny McLean (CM) - 6/10 - Went into the book for closing down Meslier little too forcefully. Combative.

Milot Rashica (LWB) - 7/10 - Saw a low shot from distance beaten away by Meslier. Struggled to deal with Raphinha all afternoon but created some chances and did swing in the corner which lead to Omobamidele's equaliser.

Kieran Dowell (AM) - 4/10 - Couldn't affect the game and was brought off for Tzolis.

3. Forwards

Josh Sargent (ST) - 4/10 - Made little impact of note and was subbed off for Idah.

Teemu Pukki (ST) - 6/10 - Curled wide from a decent opening early on. Put himself about but didn't get much change out of Leeds' defenders.

4. Substitutes

Christos Tzolis (AM) - 5/10

Adam Idah (ST) - 5/10

Przemyslaw Placheta (LWB) - 5/10

5. Goalkeeper & defenders

Illan Meslier

Illan Meslier (GK) - 6/10 - Needlessly gave away the corner which led to Norwich's equaliser, which he could do nothing about. Made a handful of saves.

Diego Llorente (CB) - 7/10 - Nice and dominant in the air, consistently making clearances throughout the afternoon.

Liam Cooper (CB) - 7/10 - Helped keep Pukki and Sargent quiet, though in truth he wasn't tested too much.

Pascal Struijk (CB) - 7/10 - Similarly solid to his defensive colleagues but again, helped by Norwich's lack of end product.

6. Midfielders

Jamie Shackleton (RM) - 6/10 - Got through plenty of defensive work, making three tackles in the first half. Had to hobble off with an injury.

Kalvin Phillips (CM) - 8/10 - Got a pretty generous assist for Rodrigo's goal, though Krul might argue his role in that was bigger. Leeds undeniably look better with him in central midfield, having missed the England international during his absence through injury.

Stuart Dallas (LM) - 6/10 - A quiet afternoon for last season's FPL favourite. Used the ball reasonably well.

Rodrigo (AM) - 7/10 - Picked up a booking for a foul on Normann. His potshot from distance squirmed under Krul to give Leeds the lead again.

7. Forwards

Raphinha

Raphinha (RW) - 9/10 - Leeds' biggest threat down the right, constantly getting into space and making a nuisance of himself. Showed brilliant composure to weave himself into the box and score the opener. The best player on the pitch.

Daniel James (ST) - 7/10 - Had a great chance when rounding Krul but was denied by Hanley's goal-line clearance. Lovely pass to Raphinha set up the Brazilian to do the rest.

Jack Harrison (LW) - 5/10 - Booked for a sliding challenge on Aarons. The quietest of Leeds' attacking talents.

8. Substitutes

Cody Drameh (RM) - 6/10

Adam Forshaw (AM) - 6/10

Tyler Roberts (ST) - 5/10
