England team news

Sarina Wiegman confirmed that Leah Williamson will start against Northern Ireland, having sat out the Lionesses' victory over North Macedonia as she was following concussion protocols. The England captain could team up with Keira Walsh once more in the midfield double pivot, which proved so effective during the Arnold Clark Cup. Wiegman added that she would not be making wholesale changes from the side that beat North Macedonia four days earlier.

Chelsea due Niamh Charles and Beth England were also absent for Friday evening's win due to Covid-19, but both have since tested negative and could be in contention to return. Jill Scott will not feature, having withdrawn from the squad.

Northern Ireland vs England score prediction

Northern Ireland are continuing to grown in strength following their move to full time training ahead of the Euros.

Shiels' side sat very deep and frustrated England for large period when the two sides met at Wembley in October. The Lionesses saw 78% of the ball, but took over an hour to break down the visitors.

England are gradually beginning to look more ruthless as Wiegman continues to stamp her mark on the side, but Tuesday could be an evening where patience is key once more.

Prediction: Northern Ireland 0-3 England
