With the cost of going to Premier League football games going up every single year, many football fans have turned to non-league matches to get their weekly live fix of the beautiful game.

And as non-league attendances skyrocket and attention on the competitions continues to rise, we thought it's as good a time as ever to list the best non-league away days you should partake in.

Here's our top five.

5. Dulwich Hamlet

Nestled in-between two of the cooler areas in London - Brixton and Peckham - is arguably the coolest non-league club around.

The National League South team have the modern aesthetic down to a tee with their kit and badge combo and, for football fans in London who don't want to spend £100+ on a Premier League matchday in the capital, a trip to Champion Hill is the perfect alternative.

4. AFC Fylde

Just off junction three of the M55, you'll find one of the most impressive non-league stadiums in the country.

That stadium is Mill Farm, and it plays host to National League North team AFC Fylde.

Whether you fancy sitting in a recently built league football-quality stand, or standing behind one of the nets, or even sitting in a fancy restaurant eating Mediterranean cuisine while watching a game of football, AFC Fylde have you covered.

3. Dartford FC

Climate-concious football fans who are looking for a day out at a non-league club need look no further than Dartford FC.

The club's stadium Princes Park, built in 2006, is one of the most climate-friendly stadiums in the United Kingdom, boasting a high-tech system to collect rain water for use in the ground, solar panels to produce electricity and the famous 'Oak Man' statue which stands proudly in the main stand.

2. Notts County

A stadium with a near 20,000 capacity hosting non-league football isn't something you see very often, so while Notts County have been in the National League away fans have revelled in being able to go to the famous Meadow Lane.

Notts County have smashed the non-league attendance record time and time again during the 2022/23 season, with biggest crowd of them all being 16,511 for their clash with Yeovil.

1. Wrexham

Although no longer a 'non-league away day' after their promotion to League Two, it wouldn't feel right to not have Wrexham in this list.

The club owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have seemingly become everyone's second team thanks to the docuseries 'Welcome to Wrexham', and the Racecourse Ground has been a bucket list stadium for many football fans too.

If you fancy having a pre-match pint with Paul Rudd, an away day trip to Wrexham is certainly the one for you.
