Newcastle have one last crack at winning a trophy this season but they will have to beat Manchester City if they are to win the FA Cup.

Eddie Howe's side have not had the season they wanted but they are one game away from another trip to Wembley and are still firmly in the running for some European football, even if it is not in the Champions League places where they really want to be.

Injuries have been the main story of their season and they suffered a blow against Chelsea on Monday with Anthony Gordon getting injured. He is expected to miss out here, whilst Dan Burn is also racing to get fit after he picked up an issue in the same game.

Here is the Newcastle team that Howe may choose against Man City.

GK: Martin Dubravka - Whilst he has generally been viewed as a strong backup to Nick Pope, fans felt that Martin Dubravka should have done a lot more to stop Chelsea's goals on Monday. He will need to be much better against a team like Man City.

RB: Tino Livramento - Kieran Tripper's injury has meant that Tino Livramento is getting a run of games at right-back. His speed and stamina are his best attributes and they could be needed against City as he will almost certainly be up against Jeremy Doku.

CB: Fabian Schar - Whilst he has had a largely very good season, Fabian Schar was not impressive against Chelsea. He will have his work cut out against Erling Haaland and others at the Etihad.

CB: Sven Botman - The season has not been good for Sven Botman as he spent a lot of it injured and has then taken a while to get back to his best. He seems slower than before, which raises questions about how his recovery was handled.

LB: Dan Burn - Fans have fully turned on the fact that Dan Burn plays at left-back, but they lack depth there and as long as his injury is not too serious, the Englishman will almost certainly be starting.

CM: Sean Longstaff - Another player who has become a real scapegoat for the Newcastle fan base, Sean Longstaff needs to raise his level if he wants to keep playing for the club next season.

CM: Bruno Guimaraes - He has been linked with a move to Man City for the summer and Newcastle's Financial Fair Play concerns mean that they might have to let the Brazilian go for the greater good. He is undoubtedly their most important player at the moment.

CM: Joe Willock - His return to fitness will be important for the rest of the season as Newcastle chase a Europa League or Europa Conference League spot. The former Arsenal man provides a bit of edge that has been missing in midfield.

RW: Jacob Murphy - His goal against Chelsea was hit with real anger and he's earned the right to start this game. His chances of starting increase a lot with Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes out injured.

ST: Alexander Isak - The pressure is on Alexander Isak to deliver for the rest of the season with Callum Wilson out injured. He showed how good he can be with his goal against Chelsea, but he will be facing a much stronger defence on Saturday.

LW: Miguel Almiron - The winger has seen his stock drop this season and many Newcastle fans would not be concerned if he moved on in the summer, but he has been a lot more reliable than some players from a fitness perspective.
