After securing a massive 1-0 win over CF Montreal on Saturday, the Red Bulls are sitting in 7th place on the Eastern Conference Table with 46 points, just two above D.C. United and Columbus Crew and one behind Atlanta United. A win on Wednesday night would put RBNY in the playoffs for a 12th consecutive season.

New York will be without head coach Gerhard Struber for the match, as he will be suspended due to yellow card accumulation. The coach was given his third yellow card of the season on Saturday for his colorful celebration of Fabio’s go-ahead goal in stoppage time against CF Montreal. Struber’s two previous cards came from disputing officiating.

New York Red Bulls vs Atlanta United FC score prediction

While Atlanta United have been hot over the last month, the team’s struggles against the Red Bulls are consistent in the club’s brief history. The Red Bulls’ massive win Saturday helped the team garner some momentum for the playoff push, and even without their coach, should be in good shape. A win for either side would clinch a playoff spot, but if history is any indication, the Red Bulls should pull this one off.
