New York Red Bulls return to action this weekend to square off against the struggling New England Revolution, hoping to avenge their 6-2 defeat to Inter Miami from a week ago.

It was a humiliating showing last time out for Red Bulls against the Herons at Chase Stadium -- more specifically in the second half. First-year head coach Sandro Schwarz's side managed to grab a first-half lead thanks to Dante Vanzeir's strike, but that vanished into thin air once Matias Rojas was substituted on in the first half for Miami to form a lethal attack with Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi.

Suarez went on to bag his first Miami hat trick while Messi made history with five assists in one half, leaving Red Bulls feeling down and out after the final whistle.

However, New York still remain in a favorable position in the Eastern Conference standings despite their defeat to the Herons. Red Bulls currently sit in fourth place in the division with 17 points from 11 matches played after coming away with zero points for just the second time this season.

With the matchup against the unimpressive Revs on the horizon, Schwarz probably won't abandon his preferred 4-4-2 formation with Emil Forsberg taking up shop on the left while Dante Vanzeir and Lewis Morgan start up front.

Here's how the Eastern Conference team could lineup vs the Revs.

GK: Carlos Coronel - Coronel will hope for a better showing this week as well as an improved performance from his backline to avoid conceding six goals again.

RB: Dylan Nealis - Despite Kyle Duncan getting the nod at right-back vs Miami, Dylan Nealis slots back into the defense against the Revs.

CB: Sean Nealis - The experienced center-back keeps his place in the XI despite the poor showing last week.

CB: Andres Reyes - With Noah Eile's availability up in the air due to a straight red card shown vs the Whitecaps, Reyes anchors the defense alongside Sean Nealis.

LB: John Tolkin - One of New York's players that was able to hold their head high after the humbling defeat to Miami.

RM: Dennis Gjengaar - Schwarz gives Gjengaar a chance on the right in place of Wikelman Carmona.

CM: Frankie Amaya - Amaya will be key to unlocking the Revs defense and playing through balls in behind to the likes of Morgan and Vanzeir.

CM: Daniel Edelman - The 21-year-old protects the Red Bulls backline and allows Amaya to roam free in the attacking third.

LM: Emil Forsberg - The former RB Leipzig icon is searching for his fourth goal in league play to start the season.

ST: Dante Vanzeir - After scoring his second goal last week, Vanzeir will aim to build upon his eight goal involvements to propel the team to victory.

ST: Lewis Morgan - He looks set to continue his fight for the Golden Boot with seven goals scored this term.
