After receiving a red card during their 1-1 draw against the Columbus Crew, New England Revolution winger Dylan Borrero has been fined by the MLS Disciplinary Committee for failing to leave the field promptly.

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined an undisclosed amount Borrero for his actions on the field during the 65th minute of New England’s 1-1 draw vs. the Columbus Crew.

The 21-year-old received a second yellow for a harsh tackle on Crew winger Mohamed Farsi; the Colombian subsequently confronted the referee, hovered over the injured player, and got into a shouting match with other Columbus players.

Borrero had to be pushed off the field by his teammates before getting into any more trouble. Due to his antics, the winger will miss New England’s upcoming match against Sporting KC.

This is just the latest round of disciplinary action seen in Major League Soccer recently. LA Galaxy's Martin Caceres received similar consequences for failing to leave the pitch accordingly when receiving a red card in the match against the Houston Dynamo.
