March 2021 is turning into one hell of a month for the good people at New Balance.

Having been outsiders in the market as relative newcomers, the American footwear specialists are starting to make some serious movements in the football sphere.

After officially unveiling ridiculously likeable and talented Arsenal starlet Bukayo Saka as an NB athlete a matter of days ago, New Balance have now dropped the latest iteration of their Furon speed boot.

You may have already noticed ballers Saka and Sadio Mané donning these bad boys on-pitch, and that would come as no surprise as they are pretty damn eye-catching.

In a good way, though - something increasingly rare in the world of football boot manufacturing.

The Furon 6+ arrives in a dazzling 'Vibrant Lime Glo' and 'Citrus Punch' colourway - that's fluorescent lime green and bright orange to you and me - with New Balance's 'NB' branding in black across the toe box.

The latest evolution of the brand's Furon speed boot, the 6+ features 'next generation fit weave upper technology', aimed at providing lightweight stability to ensure comfort and distraction-free game time.

Barely visible to the eye, the boot also boasts an enhanced low-profile knitted collar, which locks you in to release your natural game.

In terms of shape, the Furon 6+ is beautiful in its simplicity, boasting all the attributes of the best speed boots past and present with its narrow, aerodynamic design, soleplate and overall lightness.

The woven upper and knitted collar thrust them into the 21st century, and while this colourway isn't for the faint-hearted, it's wonderfully subtle at the same time; these are dazzling boots for tricky wingers and explosive attackers - New Balance know their market.

This feels like a watershed couple of weeks for the footwear giant: adding one of the Premier League's rising stars and most popular figures to their roster, where he joins one of the division's finest players in Mané, and releasing the latest iteration of their flagship boot.

Not bad going for a growing force in the football boot market.
