Bournemouth have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Neto from Bracelona on a 12-month deal.

The Brazilian has acted as back-up to Marc-Andre ter Stegen during his time at Camp Nou and arrives from the first time in the Premier League having previously impressed with Valencia.

Chief executive Neill Blake told: “To be able to attract a player of Neto’s calibre is very pleasing. This is a real coup for the club and we’re delighted he has chosen to join us. He has vast experience at the very top level of the game so I’m sure he will be a huge asset for us.”

Neto is the Cherries' fourth signing of the summer following deals for Joe Rothwell, Ryan Fredericks and Marcus Tavernier.

His arrival is another boost for newly promoted Bournemouth, who kicked off their Premier League season with a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday.
