The National League is done and dusted for another year, so it's time for the play-offs.

For some teams, it represents their best chance of reaching the English Football League, while others will be looking to join England's fifth tier from lower divisions.

Here's what you need to know the National League play-offs for 2022.

How does promotion and relegation work in National League?

Three teams will be relegated from the National League this season, with four teams promoted into it to preserve the number of sides (24) in the division.

Only one team each will be relegated from National Leagues North and South. For the 2022/23 season, those two divisions will be played with 24 teams rather than 22.
