Napoli have the opportunity to dislodge Inter at the top of Serie A when Simone Inzaghi's men visit the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Napoli cranked up the pressure on the Nerazzurri when they made it three wins on the spin with a 2-0 triumph away to Venezia last time out.

Napoli will welcome both Kalidou Koulibaly and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa back from the Africa Cup of Nations, with the former returning a champion with Senegal.

Otherwise, Luciano Spalletti will have a full complement of players to choose from, with the exception of long-term absentee Herving Lozano.

Alessandro Bastoni is an injury doubt ahead of this weekend after the Italian was forced off at half-time in the midweek win over Roma with an ankle problem.

The Nerazzurri are otherwise similarly healthy, although perhaps the number of options at Simone Inzaghi's disposal contributed to their Derby della Madonnina defeat last weekend, with the Inter boss making a raft of second-half changes.

Robin Gosens, who joined from Atalanta last month, will not feature for Inter as he continues his recovery from injury, while Joaquin Correa will be unavailable too.

Napoli vs Inter head-to-head record

Napoli forward Victor Osimhen was left with a fractured cheekbone when these two sides last met in November.

It was a game of thrills and spills, with Spalletti's side going ahead inside 17 minutes through Piotr Zielinski, before Inter flipped the contest on its head after a double from Hakan Calhanoglu and a Lautaro Martinez strike in an eventual 3-2 victory.

However, the Nerazzurri have failed to win on either of their last two trips to Naples and don't boast a particularly strong record against the so-called bigger sides this season.

Napoli vs Inter score prediction

The remit is clear for Spalletti's men, with victory ensuring Napoli will occupy top spot in Serie A - barring a resounding Milan win elsewhere.

Inter's record in big games this season has left a lot to be desired, and last weekend's defeat to bitter rivals Milan typified the Nerazzurri's inability to close out matches.

Eyes would roll in the Inter camp were they to relinquish top spot this weekend from a position of strength pre-Christmas, so expect a cagey affair in Naples.

Prediction: Napoli 1-1 Inter
