South American giants River Plate have signed center-back Leandro Gonzalez Pirez from Inter Miami on a permanent deal.

Gonzalez Pirez joined River Plate on loan from Miami in January 2022 and has since made 57 appearances for the Argentinian side. The 31-year-old previously made 43 appearances for River Plate from 2011 to 2014.

"The Club would like to thank Leandro for his contributions both on and off the pitch, and wishes him well in the future," a Miami statement read.

Prior to his time with the Herons, he had brief a spell with Tijuana while also playing a key role to Atlanta United's 2018 MLS Cup title, where he made 115 appearances for the Five Stripes from 2017 to 2019.

2. LA Galaxy sign Japan international defender Miki Yamane

LA Galaxy have signed full-back Miki Yamane from Japanese side Kawasaki Frontale through the 2026 MLS season.

The 30-year-old managed over 170 appearances for the J1 outfit from 2020 to 2023 after suiting up 114 times for Shonan Bellmare from 2016 to 2020.

Yamane has represented Japan at the international level 16 times, scoring twice and featured at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

"We are thrilled that Miki, a multiple J1 League and Emperor's Cup trophy winner and three-time J1 League Best XI honoree, is joining the Galaxy," LA general manager Will Kuntz said in a release.

"Miki brings a wealth of international experience at both the AFC Champions League and World Cup levels that will be invaluable for our team."

Yamane becomes the second Japan international to join the Western Conference side after Maya Yoshida signed for the club last August.

New England Revolution have signed Slovakia international goalkeeper Henrich Ravas from Polish outfit Widzew Lodz on a two-year contral through 2026 with an option for 2027.

Ravas has plenty of experience at 26-years-old, as he's registered over 130 appearances for the likes of Derby County, FK Senica, and Hartlepool United.

"Henrich Ravas is an experienced goalkeeper who has performed well over his three seasons in Poland, showing progress each year to develop into one of his league’s best shotstoppers," Revolution sporting director Curt Onalfo said in a release.

"His physical traits and top-flight European experience should allow for a seamless transition to MLS."

Ravas joins after a tumultuous period in between the sticks for the Revs, as the Eastern Conference side juggled between the likes of Jacob Jackson and Earl Edwards Jr after the transfer of standout Djordje Petrovic to Chelsea.

4. St Louis CITY sign Nikolas Dyhr from Midtjylland

St Louis CITY have confirmed the signing of full-back Nikolas Dyhr from Danish side Midtjylland on a deal that runs through the 2026 campaign with an option for 2027.

Dyhr boasts 103 club appearances for Midtjylland at just 22-years-old, while also taking on loan spells for fellow Danish side Horsens and Kortrijk in Belgium.

"We are excited to add Nikolas to our backline. At just 22, he has won titles at both the youth and senior level in Denmark and has gained valuable experience in Europa and Champions League competitions," St Louis sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel said in a release.

"His ability to man the left side of the field in the defensive third and final third will be key in our style of play."
