Minnesota United full-back Chase Gasper has entered the MLS Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health (“SABH”) Program for personal reasons on a voluntary basis.
Gasper will be unavailable for team activities during his time in the program and will need clearance from SABH doctors before he is allowed to return to action once again.
"We admire his courage to seek help and we fully support his decision to enter this program and prioritize his own well-being," Minnesota United said of Gasper in a club press release.
The 26-year-old is in his fourth season with Minnesota United and has played 63 matches for the club so far, but hadn't featured in any of the Loons' opening three games of the 2022 campaign.
