Mesut Ozil and Arsenal have reached an agreement in principle which will see his contract terminated.

Speculation regarding where his future lies has continued to circle over the past few months, though Ozil insisted recently that he would honour the three-year deal he signed with the club back in 2018 - despite interest from a number of clubs.
MLS outfit DC United had been keeping tabs on Ozil, and he is keen to explore a move to North America at some point, but 90min learned last week that front runners Fenerbahce already had a pre-contract agreement in place' one that would allow the 32-year-old to move to Turkey on loan in January, rather than waiting for the summer.
Ozil himself confirmed in a recent social media Q&A session that he would never consider signing for any other Turkish side.
Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta has remained coy throughout the transfer window, though he has previously conceded that the club and the player have been in regular talks, and it seems the conclusion to the transfer saga is now in in sight.
