Marseille have completed the signing of wing back Jonathan Clauss from Lens for around €10m.
90min revealed earlier in July that the Ligue 1 side were having to bat away late interest from Premier League sides Chelsea and Manchester United for the 29-year-old.
However, Marseille have now announced the completion of their move for Clauss, who has signed a three-year contract with the club.
Their statement reads: "Olympique de Marseille today announced the signing of French international Jonathan Clauss from Racing Club de Lens. The 29-year-old right-back signed a 3-year contract with the Olympian club after the success of his medical examination."
The Frenchman broke into Didier Deschamps' national team squad during a fine 2021/22 season where he registered five goals and 11 assists.
The draw of Champions League football was important for Clauss, with Marseille finishing second in France's top flight last year.
