Marcus Rashford has insisted that he's keen to create history at Manchester United after winning the 2022/23 Carabao Cup.

The forward has been in electric form in recent weeks - scoring 13 goals in 2023 already - and was key to Man Utd making their lead unassailable in the first half of the cup final against Newcastle United on Sunday, with his effort on goal deflecting off Sven Botman and into the net.

Speaking after the game to Sky Sports, Rashford has said that he is hungry for even more success after the win at Wembley Stadium:

"The hunger is there to have more moments like this. I've been in finals that we've won and ones we've lost and when you them it's massive for the club, it's massive for us as individuals.

"It's part of our history at the club and we want to keep adding to that."

When asked about the injury concern that almost kept him out of the final, Rashford replied: "I'm just happy right now. I'm buzzing with the result.

"I think the boys and the staff put a lot of work in to get here so to go on and win it is a massive thing."
