Marcus Rashford has left Manchester United fans sweating after posting a worrying fitness update after his side's 2-1 victory over Barcelona on Thursday.

Rashford, perhaps the most in-form player in Europe right now, picked up a knock in a challenge from Ronald Araujo in the second half and appeared to shake it off, although he was eventually replaced with two minutes to go.

After the game, the prolific forward took to Instagram to post a picture of himself walking with his boot off, alongside an injured emoji.

Fan footage taken after the game also saw Rashford limping his way onto the team bus.

It's a big scare for United, who will travel to Wembley on Sunday to face Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final.

Rashford is United's top scorer this season, having struck a sensational 24 goals and nine assists across all competitions. No other United player has reached double figures, with Bruno Fernandes' seven goals second in the charts.

If Rashford is unavailable for the game, Erik ten Hag may have to start Wout Weghorst in attack as Anthony Martial is also out through injury.
