Jadon Sancho's long-awaited transfer to Manchester United is inching ever closer, as the Red Devils are prepared to match Borussia Dortmund's valuation of €90m plus bonuses for the English winger.
The two clubs have been in talks over a possible deal for a number of weeks, and positive progress has been made by the Premier League giants.
According to Dortmund outlet Ruhr Nachrichten - often seen as a mouthpiece for the German club - Man Utd are ready to match Dortmund's €90m-plus-extras valuation of Sancho, signalling that this transfer saga is approaching its conclusion.
The agreement is set to be reached soon, and Der BVB are already targeting the 21-year-old's replacement: PSV Eindhoven starlet Noni Madueke.
As for the Red Devils, they are finally closing in on their biggest long-term target for the past three or four transfer windows. 90min revealed back in September 2019 that Man Utd were 'confident' of landing their man, but once the coronavirus hit, they were no longer willing to meet Dortmund's asking price.
The German club did not lower their demands in the summer of 2020, leaving the deal lying dead in the water. Man Utd didn't give up on the move however, and remained undeterred by Dortmund's reluctance to accept anything less than €120m.
And 90min exclusively revealed in May that Sancho wanted a deal to be completed with the Red Devils before Euro 2020, and Man Utd were hoping to agree a fee of £75m for their superstar target.
Sancho has dazzled during his time in Dortmund, and he's earned recognition on the international scene, making his England debut in October 2018. He has gone on to claim 20 caps, and was included in the Three Lions' Euro 2020 squad.
The winger has rarely featured in the summer tournament, although that may be down to the slow start he made to the 2020/21 campaign. However, he recovered from that sluggish form to end the season with 16 goals and 20 assists in all competitions, demonstrating his quality on the biggest stages in Europe.
