A wounded Manchester United look to get back on the winning trail against Watford in the FA Cup third round this weekend.

The Red Devils were beaten 2-0 in midweek by local rivals Manchester City in the Carabao Cup semi-final, their first defeat in seven games in all competitions. They will look to get back to winning ways against a Watford side who have just one win in their last four games.

With the fixtures coming thick and fast for the Premier League outfit, Solskjaer will look to make changes here to freshen the side up and give some players some much needed rest.

1. Goalkeeper and Defenders

Dean Henderson (GK) - The academy graduate is likely to be the only man to keep his place from the midweek defeat.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah (RB) - With Brandon Williams potentially set to leave on loan this month, Fosu-Mensah could step in at full-back for his first start since the opening game of the season.

Eric Bailly (CB) - The Ivorian has been in excellent form in recent weeks but with Victor Lindelof fit again, he will feature here to ensure the first choice pairing are rested.

Axel Tuanzebe (CB) - The 23-year-old has struggled with fitness at Old Trafford but has impressed when he has featured and could do with the minutes here.

Alex Telles (LB) - The Brazilian hasn't featured since coming off at half-time in the win over Wolves, so should get a start here over Luke Shaw.

2. Midfielders

Nemanja Matic (CM) - The Serbian has found himself behind Scott McTominay and Fred in the pecking order for defensive midfield, so is likely to start here.

Donny Van de Beek (CM) - The summer signing from Ajax has featured for just two minutes in the last four games combined, and will be champing at the bit for 90 minutes.

Jesse Lingard (AM) - The Man Utd academy man has barely featured this season, with just two appearances and none since the Carabao Cup fourth round against Brighton in September. He should start so Bruno Fernandes can rest if nothing else.

3. Forwards

Juan Mata (RW) - The Spaniard has been used in a rotational role this season and will likely start as Solskjaer rests his usual starters.

Mason Greenwood (ST) - With Edinson Cavani still suspended and Anthony Martial likely to be rested, Greenwood will get the nod in his natural position ahead of Odion Ighalo.

Daniel James (LW) - The former Swansea man has stated previously that his favoured position is on the left wing, so he should get a start in that role.
