Manchester City will take a 3-0 advantage into the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie against Fiorentina following a comfortable victory at the Academy Stadium on Wednesday evening.

City raced into a 2-0 lead inside the first four minutes, Chloe Kelly crossing for Lauren Hemp to head the hosts ahead, before the England winger turned provider for Ellen White to power home from close range.

It looked as if the floodgates would open, but Fiorentina sured up at the back and for all their domination in possession, City struggled to break the Italian side down.

However, the visitors rarely threatened themselves, Frederikke Thogersen dragging their only opportunity wide in the second half.

City added a third three minutes from time, Sam Mewis powering home a header from another Kelly cross.

Let's get into some player ratings.
