Manchester United's run of three straight wins will be put on the line when they host local rivals and treble winners Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester United team news

Plenty of injuries and absentees remain for Erik ten Hag to deal with coming into this game, although the situation has improved a little in the last couple of weeks.

Jonny Evans and Harry Maguire are the centre-back combination in defence, with Raphael Varane only on the bench.

Casemiro is back from suspension but isn't in the squad. Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Amad Diallo, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jadon Sancho all remain out of contention, but Kobbie Mainoo returns to the bench.

Manchester City team news

Things are looking pretty good for Man City right now from a fitness perspective, with Kevin De Bruyne and Zack Steffen the only senior players out with injuries. De Bruyne remains a huge miss, but there is still plenty of attacking talent in Pep Guardiola's starting XI.

Jack Grealish has been named on the left wing ahead of Jeremy Doku but it's an otherwise expected team set up in the 3-2-4-1 formation.

After his red card in the last Premier League game, Manuel Akanji is suspended and will play no part.

Manchester United vs Manchester City score prediction

This match may well have been more frightening for Man Utd fans had it been played back in September, when Man City looked unstoppable. However, Arsenal and Wolves have since beaten the champions, so it's not implausible to imagine a home win.

That being said, Man Utd seem to have a self-sabotaging streak at the moment and this Man City team won't let them get away with that. It might not be a total hammering like we've seen in the past, but expect Man City to take the points from Old Trafford.

Prediction: Man Utd 1-2 Man City
