Speculation has ramped up surrounding Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's future ahead of Manchester United's trip to face Tottenham in the Premier League this weekend.

United suffered humiliation at the hands of their bitter rivals Liverpool last time out, succumbing to a 5-0 home defeat as their run of four games without a win in the league continues.

Victory over Spurs would go a long way to lifting the move around Old Trafford, but a good performance feels almost vital if Solskjaer wants to convince those around him that he remains the right man for the job.

Here's how he could line up for this crucial fixture.

Man Utd predicted lineup vs Tottenham - Premier League

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

David Ge Gea (GK) - If it wasn't for the Spaniard's heroics this campaign, United would likely be in a considerably worse state.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB) - Has come in for criticism for his performances this season, but he plays in an area where United are desperately short of quality.

Victor Lindelof (CB) - Raphael Varane is back in training after a few weeks out with a groin injury, but this one may come too soon for him.

Harry Maguire (CB) - The England international hasn't quite looked assured of himself following his return from injury, but he needs consistent game time.

Alex Telles (LB) - Luke Shaw has looked a shadow of himself this season, which opens the door for a return for the Brazilian.

2. Midfielders

Nemanja Matic (CM) - Could return to the starting lineup as Solskjaer aims to shake his side up following last weekend's disappointment.

Scott McTominay (CM) - His energy in the centre of the pitch will be vital against a workmanlike Tottenham midfield.

Bruno Fernandes (AM) - The Portuguese's creative qualities make him undroppable.

3. Forwards

Mason Greenwood (RW) - Disappointed last time out against Liverpool, but his superstar qualities can help swing a game in an instant.

Cristiano Ronaldo (ST) - The Portugal international lacked service last weekend, but he'll need to show a greater work ethic without the ball.

Marcus Rashford (LW) - His runs in behind defences help create pockets of space for Ronaldo and Fernandes to operate in.
