Ralf Rangnick will take charge of his first Manchester Derby as Man Utd boss as his side make the short trip to face Man City in the Premier League.

United's top-four hopes were dented with a goalless draw with Watford last time out, although they will take heart from their recent trips to face City at the Etihad Stadium.

The Red Devils have been victorious in their last three derbies at home of their rivals and they will hope to put up a stiffer fight than they offered in the 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford in the reverse fixture against City this season.

Here's how United could line up.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

David De Gea (GK) - An excellent shot-stopper and has spared United's blushes on several ocassions this season.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB) - Terrific against Watford last time out and shouldn't be required to offer constant width.

Harry Maguire (CB) - Dropped to the bench for last weekend's draw with the Hornets, but is likely to return for the big one on Sunday.

Raphael Varane (CB) - It was games of these magnitudes where Varane earned his reputation at Real Madrid.

Luke Shaw (LB) - Has his work cut out from a defensive standpoint against City's rotating cast of attackers.

2. Midfielders

Fred (CM) - His work rate and ability to carry the ball will be vital for United in midfield.

Scott McTominay (CM) - The derby takes on extra importance for the United academy graduate.

Bruno Fernandes (AM) - The Portuguese has taken criticism in recent weeks, but he still leads United in non-penalty goals in the Premier League this season.

3. Forwards

Jadon Sancho (RW) - Looks like he's beginning to find his feet at Man Utd after a difficult adaption period under Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.

Cristiano Ronaldo (ST) - Has netted just once in his last ten appearances for United.

Paul Pogba (LW) - Likely to assume a role on the left-hand side with license to roam centrally, where he has thrived in recent games.
