The stuffing was taken out of a resurgent Manchester United in London last week as they saw their impressive unbeaten run snapped at the Emirates.

The Red Devils hadn't tasted defeat in ten games before they were beaten 3-2 by the Premier League leaders - just days after Michael Olise struck at the death with a stunning free-kick to halt United's seemingly unwavering momentum.

Their majestic post-World Cup form, which culminated in victory in the Manchester derby, had some dreaming of a title charge, but such optimism has quickly faded. Nevertheless, a kind Premier League schedule awaits Erik ten Hag's side in February.

Here are United's next six Premier League fixtures compared to their closest rivals.

Man Utd (4th; Played 20, 39 points)

  • Man Utd vs Crystal Palace (04/02/23) - 15:00
  • Man Utd vs Leeds Utd (08/02/23) - 20:00
  • Leeds Utd vs Man Utd (12/02/23) - 14:00
  • Man Utd vs Leicester (19/02/23) - 14:00
  • Man Utd vs Brentford (26/02/23) - 13:30
  • Liverpool vs Man Utd (04/03/23) - 15:00

United will play the two legs of their Carabao Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest and play host to Reading in the FA Cup fourth round before they're next in Premier League action.

They begin February at home to Crystal Palace, just a couple of weeks after their 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park, before they oddly play Leeds in back-to-back games.

The return of the Europa League further condenses their schedule as they take on Barcelona in a bid to reach the round of 16. United host Leicester in between those two clashes against La Blaugrana.

Brentford then make the trip to Old Trafford on the Sunday after the second leg before United open March with a trip to Anfield. While Liverpool have struggled mightily this season, the Reds will be expected to welcome back several first team stars in time for that encounter.
