Man Utd hot on trail of Sweden teenager Lucas Bergvall

Manchester United plan to hold talks with Djurgardens IF over a potential deal for teenager Lucas Bergvall, 90min understands.
The 17-year-old has already made his senior international debut for Sweden after a hugely successful first season in the country's top flight and is widely recognised as one of European football's brightest prospects.
Djurgardens sporting director Bo Andersson revealed in December that Barcelona had been in contract over Bergvall, who plays alongside his brother Theo, and Borussia Dortmund have also been credited with an interest.
90min understands both clubs are admirers of Bergvall, but the player's representatives are due to meet Manchester United to discuss a potential transfer to the Premier League. Bergvall previously trained with United's youth team a few years ago and is known to be a supporter of the club.
Eintracht Frankfurt are also keen to sign Bergvall, 90min has learned, but concrete discussions are yet to take place over a possible move to the Bundesliga.
Bergvall has been compared to Jude Bellingham, who has played a starring role for Real Madrid and England following a big-money move from Dortmund and is now thought of as a world class midfielder, and played 25 times for Djurgardens in his debut season, scoring twice.
WILL THE JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW DELIVER?
United are currently preparing to transition the running of day-to-day football operations to British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who has agreed to purchase a 25% minority stake in the club, and the deal is now awaiting ratification from the Premier League.
The Red Devils intend to focus on outgoings from Erik ten Hag's underperforming squad once Ratcliffe is in place, ridding the under-pressure Dutch manager of players who are taking up space on the club's hefty wage bill and not of sufficient standard.
The opportunity to build for the future with a signing like Bergvall would fit in with the intention to sign younger players who can develop into first team stars alongside academy gradudates, though it remains to be seen how much Djurgardens would want for a player who some have tipped to reach the very top of the game.
A transfer fee in the region of €8m to €10m has been touted in German media, with any move likely to take place in the summer window rather than January.
