Manchester United have confirmed the signings of three new players for the academy, including Darren Fletcher’s twin sons Jack and Tyler.

The two join the Red Devils after spending almost a decade at Manchester City's academy. Earlier in the summer, 90min confirmed the news that United had persuaded the twins to join the club’s academy ranks.

In the official announcement, Manchester United added that their academy hones in on individual growth: "The Academy strives to develop our young players both on and off the pitch, with each Red's individual growth at the forefront of what we do.

"Our Professional Development Phase seeks to provide the players with the opportunity to seamlessly transition between United's Under-18 and Under-21 sides, with the ultimate aim of preparing them for a career in senior football."

Alongside Jack and Tyler Fletcher, United confirmed the signing of defender Harry Amass from Watford and that Will Fish has gone back out on loan to Hibernian, having spent last season with the club as well.

The 16-year-olds' father, who is currently the technical director of the club, came through the ranks of the youth academy and spent two decades at United. He made 342 appearances for the club in all competitions, winning five Premier League titles, one FA Cup, two League Cups, the UEFA Champions League, four FA Community Shields and the FIFA Club World Cup.

He returned to the club as a youth team coach in 2020 before being promoted to first-team coach in 2021, working alongside former teammate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He was then made technical director two months later.
