Manchester City travel to Watford on Saturday evening, aiming to secure a seventh consecutive victory in all competitions.

Pep Guardiola's side is in rampant form at the moment, sitting second in the Premier League table after consecutive 2-1 victories over West Ham and Aston Villa in their previous two league outings. Their run of six straight wins also includes Champions Leagues victories against Club Brugge and Paris Saint-Germain that secured their place in the knockout stages of the competition.

Saturday's opponents, by contrast, occupy 17th place in the table, having lost five of the seven games overseen by Claudio Ranieri. There have been signs of promise, however, achieving big wins against Everton and Manchester United, before narrowly losing to Chelsea last time out.

Here's who Guardiola could field to get the job done.

Manchester City predicted lineup vs Watford - Premier League

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Ederson (GK) - Will definitely put the gloves on for a 14th Premier League appearance this term, in search of his eighth clean sheet.

Joao Cancelo (RB) - With Kyle Walker's availability a doubt, we may see Cancelo line up on the right side of defence once again.

Ruben Dias (CB) - Keeps on impressing at the heart of Guardiola's defence - a sure starter for the Cityzens.

Aymeric Laporte (CB) - Has now served his three-match ban and, with John Stones potentially out of contention, should be set for an immediate return to the starting XI against Watford.

Oleksandr Zinchenko (LB) - Played well on his first Premier League start of the season last time out and could be set for a second with a forced reshuffle.

2. Midfielders

Bernardo Silva (CM) - Best player in the Premier League at the moment? Maybe. Absolutely incredible and undroppable at the moment? Most definitely.

Rodri (CM) - Fernandinho played well in midweek but, with the returns of more offensive threats, Rodri may be in line to take the role of lone anchor.

Phil Foden (CM) - Didn't feature in midweek but did return to the squad. Could be set for a first start in three league games here.

3. Forwards

Gabriel Jesus (RW) - Provided an excellent assist for Silva last time out to take his overall tally to 13 goal involvements in all competitions so far this term.

Raheem Sterling (CF) - Played well at Villa and deserves to retain a starting spot although may be forced centrally to accommodate the returns of certain colleagues.

Jack Grealish (LW) - Managed a brief stint at his former club on Wednesday night and could return to the starting lineup for this one.
