Man City predicted lineup vs Peterborough - FA Cup

Manchester City will look to secure an FA Cup quarter-final spot as they travel to face second tier side Peterborough on Tuesday night.
Pep Guardiola's side bounced back to earn a 1-0 victory at Everton last time out, having fallen to a 3-2 defeat to Tottenham the match before. While they've ever so slightly faltered in the Premier League in recent weeks, there have been no problems in their FA Cup campaign to date, securing 4-1 wins over Swindon and Fulham thus far.
Tuesday's visitors have won their last 11 FA Cup fixtures against sides from lower divisions, and now face a Peterborough side sitting rock bottom of the Championship having won once in the league since late October.
Here's how an expected rotated City side could shape up...
1. Goalkeeper & defenders
Ederson (GK) - Zack Steffen has played in the previous two rounds but is expected to be absent once more, likely resulting in Ederson's inclusion.
Kyle Walker (RB) - Has played every minute of this season's FA Cup campaign so far and should return to the lineup for this one.
John Stones (CB) - Will likely shift into a more natural centre-back position in what could be a rotated lineup.
Nathan Ake (CB) - With Guardiola's first-choice partnership afforded a rest, we should see Ake feature at the heart of defence.
Oleksandr Zinchenko (LB) - City's number 11 has far more important things to worry about at the moment but, after being strong enough to make the bench at the weekend, could come in to start here.
2. Midfielders
Fernandinho (DM) - Has started just twice in 2022 but could be brought in from the outset here, having played the full 90 in his side's fourth-round victory over Fulham.
Kevin de Bruyne (CM) - The Belgian may retain his place if others are rested, having boasted some fantastic form in recent weeks.
Ilkay Gundogan (CM) - Could remain in the side as Bernardo Silva drops out, having scored twice in the competition already.
3. Forwards
Riyad Mahrez (RW) - Managed two goals and an assist against Fulham in round four, and with 13 goal involvements in his previous 11 City appearances, Peterborough could be in for a tough time.
Gabriel Jesus (ST) - Returned from injury to make a cameo against Everton last time out, and should be afforded a start this time around.
Jack Grealish (LW) - Was an unused substitute at Goodison Park after having missed the previous three with a shin injury, and could return to action on Tuesday.
