Man City will welcome Man Utd to the Etihad Stadium in the second instalment of the Manchester Derby this season.

Pep Guardiola's side will be looking to tighten their grip on top spot in the Premier League with Liverpool breathing down their necks.

The Cityzens were defeated on league duty in their previous home outing - a 3-2 defeat to Tottenham - and they will be keen to reverse a worrying recent record against Man Utd in derby matches at the Etihad Stadium.

Here's how Guardiola's men could shape up.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Ederson (GK) - The Brazilian usually comes up big for City in games of this magnitude.

Joao Cancelo (RB) - His creativity from full back is phenomenal, although he operates better on the left side.

John Stones (CB) - Guardiola is likely to turn to the Englishman with Ruben Dias facing a spell on the sidelines.

Aymeric Laporte (CB) - With 83.9 passes per match, City's build-up play usually goes through the Spain international.

Oleksandr Zinchenko (LB) - Enter the Ukrainian, with Guardiola seemingly unable to trust both Cancelo and Kyle Walker to play together.

2. Midfielders

Rodri (CM) - Offloaded in the midweek FA Cup win in Peterborough with this weekend's derby in mind.

Kevin De Bruyne (CM) - The man for the big ocassion, as he displayed to devastating effect against Chelsea in January.

Ilkay Gundogan (CM) - His blindside runs into the penalty area are a huge asset for Guardiola.

3. Forwards

Phil Foden (RW) - A creative genius, just as comfortable operating as a false No.9 than as a deep-lying playmaker.

Bernardo Silva (ST) - Man City's Player of the Season, with his performance against Man Utd at Old Trafford particularly memorable.

Raheem Sterling (LW) - City's talisman in the Premier League this term with ten goals to his name.
