Liverpool could end the weekend as high as sixth in the Premier League table if they beat Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The Reds return to Anfield off the back of a 6-1 hammering of Leeds United on Monday, rediscovering their mojo in a performance which Jurgen Klopp hailed as their best of the season.

Here's who he could select to take on relegation-threatened Forest, who have won just once on their travels all season.

Liverpool predicted lineup vs Nottingham Forest

GK: Alisson - With the squad in need of rebuilding, Liverpool can rest easy knowing that they will not have to strengthen in the goalkeeper department.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold - Excelled in an inverted role against a hopeless Leeds team on Monday and is likely to cause Forest all sorts of similar problems.

CB: Ibrahima Konate - At fault for Leeds' consolation but has generally been one of Liverpool's better defenders this season. Not a particularly high bar to clear, however.

CB: Virgil van Dijk - Turns 32 this summer...when did that happen?

LB: Andy Robertson - With Constantine Hatzidakis back in action this weekend, it's only fair that he meets Robbo...inside Hell in a Cell.

DM: Fabinho - Monday marked the first time in months that Fabinho didn't play like a traffic cone. Growth.

CM: Jordan Henderson - Covering for Alexander-Arnold...why did no one think of this role for Henderson sooner?

CM: Curtis Jones - One of Liverpool's standouts at Leeds and should be given plenty more opportunities to impress between now and the summer, if anything because the Harvey Elliott experiment just wasn't working.

RW: Mohamed Salah - Only Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Ivan Toney have scored more Premier League goals than the Egyptian this season.

CF: Cody Gakpo - Adapting to his new role as a centre forward and should have a lot of chances to feast on a weak Forest defence.

LW: Diogo Jota - Back among the goals again in part thanks to an adage told to him by Cristiano Ronaldo.
