Liverpool will host Aston Villa on Saturday in their final home game of the 2022/23 Premier League season.

Jurgen Klopp's side are in pursuit of an eighth successive victory to aid their late push for a spot in the league's top four, but they will have one eye on the results of both Newcastle and Manchester United ahead of them as the Reds need one to slip up.

Here's how Klopp could set up.

Liverpool predicted lineup vs Aston Villa (4-3-3)

GK: Alisson - The Brazilian needs clean sheets in each of his last two games to be in with a chance of sharing the Golden Glove with David de Gea.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold - Few players in the Premier League have been as impressive as Alexander-Arnold in the past few weeks.

CB: Ibrahima Konate - Konate appears to have settled back into his role as a starter and has impressed during Liverpool's recent resurgence.

CB: Virgil van Dijk - Referee Craig Pawson attracted the fury of Van Dijk against Leicester, but John Brooks will be hoping for a quieter affair this time around.

LB: Andy Robertson - Robertson is tied with Alexander-Arnold for eight assists in the Premier League this season.

DM: Fabinho - Fabinho has spoken openly about how much he is enjoying being part of Liverpool's new-look midfield. Can you blame him?

CM: Jordan Henderson - Club captain Henderson faced plenty of criticism for the majority of the season but has served a gentle reminder of his quality recently.

CM: Curtis Jones - After scoring three goals in his first 57 Liverpool outings, Jones has managed the same return in his last four.

RW: Mohamed Salah - Ivan Toney's suspension means Salah, who sits one goal behind the Brentford striker, should be able to secure third place in the Golden Boot race.

ST: Cody Gakpo - Roberto Firmino will get an Anfield farewell at some point in this game but Gakpo is likely to be the starter.

LW: Luis Diaz - With doubts over Darwin Nunez's toe injury, expect Diaz to get the nod on the left.
