After an exhilarating draw with Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend, Liverpool return to Europa League action this Thursday.

The Reds did the hard work during their last 16 first leg with Sparta Prague last week, securing an emphatic 5-1 victory at the epet Arena. As a result, Jurgen Klopp is likely to field a greater number of his fringe players and youngsters this time out against the Czech champions, especially with the FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester United this weekend.

But as much as Klopp will want to rotate at Anfield on Thursday, he still has an array of players unavailable to him. The Reds have a host of first-team stars on the treatment table at present, with every area of their squad impacted by significant injuries.

Here are all the Liverpool players out of Thursday's Europa League tie with Sparta Prague.

Goalkeepers & defenders

Liverpool remain without a number of important defenders this Thursday, with Alisson also out of action with a hamstring problem. The Brazilian has been injured for over a month now, with the Reds fortunate to have such an able deputy in Caoimhin Kelleher.

Ibrahima Konate was the latest player to add his name to a long injury list last week, straining himself during the 5-1 victory over Sparta. The Frenchman missed the battle with Man City on Sunday and will be out again midweek, although Klopp has confirmed that he has a 'good chance' of returning for the upcoming FA Cup clash with Man Utd.

While Conor Bradley and Joe Gomez have been mightily impressive at right-back this season, it's still worth remembering that the Reds are without Trent Alexander-Arnold at the moment. The 25-year-old could be available after the March international break.

Joel Matip is likely out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL sustained last December. With his contract expiring this summer, he may have played his final game in a Liverpool shirt.

Midfielders

Liverpool's midfield options have been bolstered recently by the return of Dominik Szoboszlai, but the Reds still have four absentees in the middle of the park. One of those is Ryan Gravenberch, who is missing with an ankle injury sustained in the Carabao Cup final.

Curtis Jones has been absent since the 4-1 victory over Brentford in mid-February and is unlikely to feature before the upcoming international period. However, Liverpool will be hopeful of having the 23-year-old back soon as they fight for more silverware.

Similarly to Matip, midfielder Thiago may have played his final match for Liverpool given his contract expires this summer. It would be a sad exit for the Spaniard, who was injured just ten minutes into his return against Arsenal in early February - the only minutes he has played this season.

Thiago's compatriot Stefan Bajcetic has been similarly unlucky with injuries this campaign despite being at the other end of his career. The impressive youngster has featured just twice this term, but has a good chance of featuring before the end of the season.

The return of Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez in recent weeks has been much appreciated by Klopp as his forward options had been running thin, but he is still without the influential Diogo Jota up top. The Portuguese is not likely to return any time soon and will be sidelined until mid-April at least.

Young Ben Doak is still recovering from surgery he underwent earlier this year, while Jayden Danns has missed the last two matches through concussion. However, the 18-year-old striker could feature against Sparta on Thursday.
