Live grenades thrown onto pitch prior to Rosario Central-Newell's Old Boys clash

The buildup to Sunday's Clasico Rosarino between Rosario Central and Newell's Old Boys was disrupted after live grenades were thrown onto the pitch.
Newell's ran out 1-0 winners at their biggest rivals thanks to a second-half goal from Juan Roman Garcia, but they were lucky that the match even went ahead due to fans' pre-match antics.
Prior to kick off at the Estadio Dr Lisandro de la Torre, supporters threw the explosives onto the turf, with Newell's Twitter account posting a video of one exploding.

The derby is of huge importance in the Santa Fe region of Argentina - Newell's fans packed out their 42,000-capacity Estadio Marcelo Bielsa earlier this week just to give the team a fitting sendoff.
And while Sunday's proceedings could have gone awry - the referee even met with the stadium's head of security to discuss whether the match should have gone ahead - those Newell's fans will no doubt be happy to have claimed a win at the home of their biggest rivals.
