Having only just thawed themselves out following their 4-2 win over Watford in freezing conditions on Sunday, Leicester make the trip down to the coast to take on Southampton on Wednesday.

The Foxes come into this one in decent form, having seen off Legia Warsaw on Thursday prior to ruining Claudio Ranieri's return to the King Power Stadium.

Brendan Rodgers will be keen to keep the positive momentum going this weekend and here is the starting XI he seems most likely to call upon to get the job done...

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Kasper Schmeichel

Kasper Schmeichel (GK) - It's a game involving Leicester City Football Club, so of course Schmeichel will be between the sticks.

Timothy Castagne (RB) -
With Ricardo Pereira still recovering from injury, the ever-reliable and often exciting Castagne will continue here.

Caglar Soyuncu (CB) -
Has looked back to something near his best in recent weeks after a poor start to the season.

Jonny Evans (CB) -
In an ideal world a man with Evans' patchy injury record would be rested here. However, with every point vital and Daniel Amartey never comfortable in the middle of a back four, he should start.

Luke Thomas (LB) -
Ryan Bertrand was strangely absent against Watford last time out and Thomas likely did enough to retain his place.

2. Midfielders

Boubakary Soumare (CM) - Youri Tielemans is still on his way back from injury, meaning they'll be no rest for Soumare.

Wilfred Ndidi (CM) -
The same applies to Ndidi, though at least he is used to playing every single minute of football when he's fit.

James Maddison (AM) -
Maddison has showed signs of being back to his best in recent times, netting twice and registering as many assists in his last two games.

3. Forwards

Ademola Lookman (RW) - Ayoze Perez will be pushing for a start but Lookman's goal at the weekend will be enough for him to keep his place.

Jamie Vardy (ST) - Two goals last time out leave him on nine for the season. He's not done yet.

Harvey Barnes (LW) - Yet to properly explode this campaign. Perhaps this will be the game it happens.
