Leicester are searching for a first Premier League win since August and are hoping to break a slump in results against a Manchester United side they have beaten as recently and March and May.
Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers has had to contend with a number of injury headaches so far this season, particularly in a defensive capacity – Wilfred Ndidi is still missing here, for example. But he still has a number of top players at his disposal.
Here’s a look at the starting XI Rodgers could pick…
Leicester predicted lineup vs Man Utd - Premier League
1. Goalkeeper & defenders
Kasper Schmeichel (GK): Fresh off the back of qualifying for the World Cup with Denmark without conceding a goal. But Leicester have been far too porous at the back this season.
Timothy Castagne (RB): Expected to get the nod once more ahead of Ricardo Pereira. The pair have largely shared the right-back role so far this season.
Jannik Vestergaard (CB): Jonny Evans remains a doubt so the towering Dane would be the obvious to continue after starting the last four league games in a row.
Caglar Soyuncu (CB): Has lacked a regular partners this season because of the injury to Wesley Fofana and Evans’ ongoing fitness struggles.
Ryan Bertrand (LB): The veteran has made the left-back spot his own since the start of September, taking over from home-grown youngster Luke Thomas.
2. Midfielders
Ademola Lookman (RM): The 23-year-old winger has been favoured by Rodgers over James Maddison and others in recent weeks, although he is yet to get a goal or assist.
Boubakary Soumare (CM): The international was another chance for the summer signing to get his feet under the table. Could be given a chance to add to his two Premier League starts so far.
Youri Tielemans (CM): It hasn’t been the best start to the season for him after the highs of how last season finished, although has still made contributions.
Harvey Barnes (LM): Got what proved to be a crucial assist last time out – his first in the Premier League this season – and should have his confidence boosted.
3. Forwards
Kelechi Iheanacho (ST): Marked his first Premier League start of the season with his first goal in Leicester’s match and has a good record against Manchester United.
Jamie Vardy (ST): Four goals in his last three league appearances show he is a player in form, although he hasn’t scored against United since 2018.
