Leicester City's are pushing ahead with their move for Argentine international winger Nicolas Gonzalez and have agreed personal terms with the player, 90min understands.

The Foxes are struggling to find any real form in the Premier League and are in danger of being dragged into a battle against relegation unless things improve.

90min confirmed on Wednesday that Leicester had made a bid for versatile forward Gonzalez earlier this month worth around £30m, and sources have confirmed that an agreement has been reached with the player over personal terms.

Gonzalez has been offered the chance to double his wages at King Power Stadium, though Fiorentina are yet to accept Leicester's bid and are still considering their options.

Chief executive officer Joe Barone stated over the weekend that the club are not looking to sell Gonzalez or in-demand teammate Sofyan Amrabat - who is wanted by a host of clubs after his outstanding showing at the World Cup - and said it is no longer "easy to take players from us".

Nevertheless, 90min understands that Fiorentina are already eyeing up potential replacement for Gonzalez, and could turn to Atalanta winger Jeremie Boga.

Atletico Madrid had also been interested in signing Gonzalez, but they are not prepared to match the overall financial package that Leicester have put forward for the 24-year-old.
