Leicester City will be hoping to inject some energy back into their season by securing a much-needed Europa League win over Legia Warsaw on Thursday night.

Bested by the Polish champions on matchday two, the Foxes know that three points is vital as they currently sit bottom of a ridiculously congested group.

With star man Youri Tielemans still out, here is the starting XI Brendan Rodgers will be relying on to get the job done...

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Kasper Schmeichel (GK) - The Dane has been kept busy by Leicester's shaky defence this season, coming to their rescue on more than one occasion.

Jannik Vestergaard (CB) - Sometimes excellent, sometimes not-so-excellent, Daniel Amartey has played important role of late - but Vestergaard should be handed some minutes here.

Jonny Evans (CB) - Evans' return was supposed to solve all of Leicester's defensive problems. It hasn't, but they're much better with him at the heart of defence.

Caglar Soyuncu (CB) - What has happened to this man? Needs to start improving soon as he has cost his side on several occasions this season.

2. Wing-backs & midfielders

Timothy Castagne (RWB) - Mostly reliable, Castange will be hoping to be more decisive in the final third on Thursday.

Boubakary Soumare (CM) - With Tielemans out for a while, Soumare is set to play a lot of football over the coming weeks. It would be nice to give Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall a runout, but he's just not been good enough in his cameos.

Wilfred Ndidi (CM) - Still one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe, why no elite club has ever tabled a bid for the Nigerian is a mystery.

Luke Thomas (LWB) - More exciting in the final third than Ryan Bertrand, Thomas should get another Europa League start.

James Maddison (AM) - Horrific so far this season. Arsenal will be popping the champagne after not pulling the trigger on that big-money move in the summer. Then again, perhaps that's the problem? Maybe he'd rather be somewhere else.

3. Forwards

Patson Daka (ST) - Netted four goals (that's insane!) on matchday three and looks a ready-made Jamie Vardy replacement.

Kelechi Iheanacho (ST) - Not quite reached the heights of last season, when he was briefly Pele, Maradona and Gerd Muller rolled into one, but he's still been pretty good in Europe.
