Leeds United team news ahead of Premier League clash with Wolves

Leeds United will be without three players for their game against Wolves on Friday night in the Premier League, manager Marcelo Bielsa has revealed.

The clash between the two sides is set to be a close one, with just two points and one league place separating the two teams before kick-off. A win for Bielsa's side will move them up to 10th in the league, above Arsenal and into the top half of the table - but they'll have to do it without three of their key men.

Kalvin Phillips, Rodrigo and Ian Poveda will all be missing from the side through injury, although there was positive news that Diego Llorente and Mateusz Klich will both be available following their respective spells on the sidelines.

Phillips picked up a thigh injury in the game against Crystal Palace and missed the defeat to Arsenal last weekend, while Rodrigo suffered a groin problem against Leicester last month and has been unavailable ever since. Poveda's ankle injury occurred while playing for the Under-23s earlier this month and Bielsa revealed he didn't have a return date for any of them just yet.

Speaking at his press conference, via Leeds Live, the Argentine coach said;

"I couldn't give you a certain answer. If I tell you that no they won't be able to play, one of them could make it for one of those games. And if I tell yes they will return, I cannot tell you this with certainty. Sometimes a response which seems like a formality is the only way I can answer because it’s subject to how they evolve."

Leeds are likely to remain unchanged for the game against Wolves as they look to even out their record for the season with 11 wins and 11 losses and just two draws. Wolves have only lost four times at home this season though from 12 games and will certainly make it difficult for the free-flowing football of their visitors to be effective.
